Christopher was acutely aware of the environmental challenges facing his community from a young age. Determined to make a difference, he joined the Student for the Advancement of Global Enterprises (SAGE) in high school, and the Centre for Social Awareness Advocacy and Ethics (CSAAE) group where he took on a number of projects in various fields, including leading a water filtration initiative in response to a local market’s environmental hazards.

After completing his studies, he grew a passion for building sustainable tech solutions, where he worked as a product manager for a startup to build a solar pay-as-you-go micro-grid solution.

It was his work in managing a plastic pet bottle waste recycling project in his local street that ultimately led him to co-found 0xcarbon.

Together with his sister Oluchi, a water resource and chemical energy engineer who had already made a name for herself working in Total Energies in the Spillage Response and SLB in the engineering sector, Christopher set out to develop a market-based solution to the sustainability challenges facing Africa and the world.

Driven by their shared passion for sustainable development and environmental stewardship, Christopher and Oluchi founded 0xcarbon with a mission to create a more sustainable future through innovative technology and market-based solutions.
